Chestnut Hill College to Hold 27th Annual Golf Invitational to Benefit Student Scholarships

Invitational Features $1,000,000 Hole-in-One Contest

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Chestnut Hill College will hold its 27th Annual Golf Invitational on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa. Since its inception, the Golf Invitational has raised more than $700,000 for the College and its student programs.

Golfers will start the day with registration and brunch at 10 a.m., and a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. The outing will conclude with cocktails and dinner at 5:00 p.m. and the presentation of prizes. Special activities throughout the day include a $5,000 putting challenge, raffles, skill awards, and a $1,000,000 hole-in-one contest. Presenting sponsors for this year’s invitational are Chesapeake Bay Golf Club in North East and Rising Sun, Maryland; Thomas Wynne Apartments, Wynnewood, Pa; and Jericho Manor Apartments in Abington, Pa.

In addition, the College will also be holding a raffle, with winners announced at the Golf Invitational. Prizes include trips and other cash prizes. Tickets for the raffle are five for $20 and are available for sale through September 30th. Registration is $250 per player and sponsorship opportunities are available.
