College to Present Documentary "Journey of the Universe"

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Chestnut Hill College will show the film Journey of the Universe on Monday, November 7, at 6 p.m. in the East Parlor of St. Joseph Hall. Journey of the Universe
follows cosmic, earth and human transformation. The dramatic, expansive film re-imagines the creation of the universe and reframes the human connection to the cosmos. The film, created by a renowned team of scientists, scholars and award-winning filmmakers, was filmed on the Greek island of Samos, the birthplace of Pythagoras. The film is narrated by evolutionary philosopher Brian Thomas Swimme, and was produced by Patsy Northcutt and David Kennard. The film was written by Swimme and Yale religion historian Mary Evelyn Tucker.
There will be a panel discussion following the documentary featuring Margaret Thompson, SSJ, MFA, associate professor of art at Chestnut Hill College and Edward Devinney, Ph.D., adjunct professor of astronomy at Villanova University.
