Meighan describes her M.F.A. thesis "Evolving" to be “about my encounter with paint, color and an evolutional process. My work evolves out of what I consider to be a choreographed dance. The paint and the marks lead me through an interior movement, which dictates my response, as I am lead through each painting. My work is predominately non-representative yet figurative at time. Each painting presents me with a new experience, a new dance, a new encounter.”

She has taken art classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, The Barnes Foundation, Tyler School of Art, and is currently completing her M.F.A. at the Vermont Studio Center /Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont.

Her work has been exhibited in shows at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the 70th Annual Juried Exhibition at the Woodmere Museum, and the New Wilmington Art Association.
