The Institute for Forgiveness and Reconciliation presents the program, “JUST Listening” on Friday, March 8 from 9:30 a.m.-noon in the East Parlor, St. Joseph Hall.
JUST Listening is an effort to foster social change by practicing, promoting and teaching other-centered, compassionate, and non-judgmental listening skills. The program is an essential tool in helping to promote civility and learn skills in dialogue.
Sharon Browning will present the JUST Listening program. She is the former executive director of Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP), the hub of pro bono legal services in Philadelphia, and also taught for 15 years in the Sociology Department at Chestnut Hill College. She is a trained mediator, retreat facilitator, spiritual guide and teacher, focusing on the needs of marginalized individuals and groups.
