Assistant Professor of Psychology and Coordinator of Master's Field Placements
Chestnut Hill College has an opening for a full-time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning June 2013. This is a 12-month appointment.
Responsibilities include: Overseeing the field placements of students in the master's program; maintaining and developing practicum and internship sites; teaching two courses each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer), one of which is the group supervision course for students on field placement. Additional courseassignments for this position will be selected from the following, depending on candidate’s experience and expertise: trauma; play therapy; development across the life span and assessment and treatment of children and adolescents.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, must be licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania, must have clinical experience, and must maintain involvement in clinical practice or consultation. We are seeking candidates with a strong identification with a modern psychodynamic orientation and a systemic perspective, along with relevant training and experience within these models.
