Chestnut Hill College Student Political Science Association To Hold “Super Tuesday” Voter Registration and Activities

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Chestnut Hill College SPSA (Student Political Science Association) will be hosting a “Super Tuesday” event that includes voter registration and activities for the surrounding community from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, in the Social Room of Fournier Hall. The College is located at 9601 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia. Voter registration will take place throughout the day until 9 p.m.

Activities for the day include:

Noon-2:15 p.m.-Voter registration and online quiz: “Are you a Conservative,
Liberal, or Moderate?” Clips will be shown from The Daily Show’s Indecision 2004.

2:30-5:00 p.m. - A showing of Primary Colors (1998: John Travolta, Emma
Thompson, Billy Bob Thornton)

5:00-5:30 p.m. – Quiz Show: “How well do you know the primary candidates and
previous presidents?”

6:00-8:00 p.m. – Live Music, including the cast of the Chestnut Hill College
production of Charlie Brown, the CHC Pep Band, and an open mike.

8:00-9:00 p.m. – Watch early Super Tuesday election results with expert
commentary from Phil McGovern, adjunct professor of political science at Chestnut
Hill. Results from the student mock election will be announced, and refreshments
will be served.
